It's a rainy day and all I want is a cookie...

Alas it is also a couple days before payday so the cookie will have to wait, along with the billions of books I wanna buy. Gah, i'm so frustrated. I went and bought Lara Adrian's new book Taken by Midnight the latest installment in her Midnight Breed series. and before I go on I feel that I should tell you something about myself...

I hate weak female characters, also ones that have no common sense. And let me just say that Jenna, the main female character of the novel can check both of these traits off of her character profile. Let me explain...

Jenna wakes up in the Order's compound after having been attacked by an evil gen one vampire. When she wakes up her bestie is there telling her she's safe and everything will be OK.

Now let me stop there. If I woke up in a strange place and my best friend was there I would immediately feel better, and if said friend who I trust because she is my bestie, told me to rest and that I was safe, I would believe her because, again, she's my best friend.

Not Jenna. This hardened state trooper decides, to hell with everyone, I'm not getting any answers so I'm gonna leave!

Never mind she has some kind of something stuck in her neck or that she is recovering at a highly unusual rate, fuck all that! she's gonna hightale it out of there!

And boy is she touchy, she doesn't want help from anyone, or to be friends with anyone, so far in the novel she's being a bit of an icy bitch. And I really wanna start a new novel and stop waisting my time on such a winey butt but, being the eternal optimist that I am, I'm hoping that the next book , which comes out in 2011, will be better than this one.

I'm gonna go trudge through this novel and eat some chocolate cake.

Sadly video blogs did not work out. The camera that I have can only make 30 second videos, which is kinda annoying. So this lovely October morning sees me with a cup of coffee, text book beside me, sitting at the PC typing my little heart out. I'm in the middle of several projects, most of them for university. I'm writing a short story, reading lots of Jacobean drama and applying psychoanalytic theory to film. When I'm not doing any of that I'm surfing the internet or trying new recipes for stuffed french toast. Do I have an obsession? No i do not! (maybe)

Let me just say that you have not lived until you've had peanut butter and banana stuffed french toast! Today the recipe was for cheesy ham stuffed french toast. I substituted the ham with I'm not feeling the turkey.

In other news I found a new blog that might be ruling my life now. This is how it happened. I was googleing summaries of Epicene and the journey took me to Sparknotes where I saw something called Blogging Breaking Dawn. I had to pause for a minute and go Really?! Someone's blogging about this book?! Turns out it's a dude that has never read the series before. So I check it out and OMG it's AMAZING! And because I don't want to ruin it for you I'm just gonna post the link at the bottom and you can follow along for yourself. Start with the very first post, OK? He starts with Twilight and goes on through the series, and it's great!

You can trust me, I would never lead you astray (wink;P)
