In which I was distracted by Suzanne Brockman

Suzanne Brockman is well known for her Troubleshooter's novels. What may not be so well known is that she has also written many little novels that are enchanting.

I have read Forbidden, which tells the story of Cal and Kayla as they go on search of Cal's brother in war torn San Salustino. While searching, they must dodge government agents and their growing attraction for each other.

The follow up to Forbidden is Freedom's Price the story of Cal's brother Liam and Marisala, a young freedom fighter he fought with in San Salustino. Marisala is determined to live her own life but the war has left her feeling adrift. Meanwhile, Liam fights his own demons as well as his attraction to Marisala. It turns out they might be just what the other needed.

My favorite by far has been Kiss and Tell. This story is set on a small island off the coast of Florida. It's New Years eve and Leila is visiting her brother on Sunrise Key. During a New Year's costume ball she shares a steamy kiss with a ninja, not knowing that she kissed her longtime nemesis Marshall Devlin, who has been secretly in love with her for years. Marsh must race the clock to make Leila see him before another takes his place in her life.
